Everything here is about sharing: order, taste, help yourself, and enjoy together. Whether you're in the restaurant, the lounge, or at the bar, this is a place for laughter, toasts, and perhaps ordering just a little more than planned.
¡Madre mía! Classics such as Patatas Bravas, Pimientos de Padrón, Albóndigas, and Gambas al Ajillo are, of course, a must. Alongside them, you'll discover our creative “Tapas Around the World” creations, inspired by flavours from across the globe – from Asian influences to surprising modern interpretations.
All of this is complemented by Spanish beer specialties, carefully selected wines, and the unmistakable feeling of a short getaway to the South – true to the motto: compartir es vivir.
From “apas” to tapas
From the first bite to the idea
It all started in Ibiza. During our holidays, we enjoyed tapas every day, sharing small dishes together and embracing that relaxed Mediterranean way of life. At some point, we found ourselves asking: Why doesn’t something like this exist in Zermatt?
Back in the mountains, the idea never left us. What started as an “apas” – a small bite or little treat in the local Valais dialect – grew into a big vision: combining Zermatt’s roots with the spirit and lifestyle of Spain. That’s how the first and only tapas restaurant in Zermatt was born.
Today, we have created a place where people come together to enjoy great food, discover new flavours, and feel at home. Because with us, you are not just a guest – you are part of the family.

Behind every plate, there’s more than just a recipe – there’s genuine passion. In our kitchen, we cook, taste, combine flavours, and sometimes improvise a little… that’s exactly how our tapas with character come to life.
Leading the way is Christian Heidel, our Head Chef. He keeps everything running smoothly and loves experimenting with new ideas and flavours. Our entire kitchen team is involved in the process – together, they create, refine, and bring each dish to life. And thanks to our international team, tapas from all over the world find their way onto our menu – always with a unique twist.
In our restaurant, service is about more than simply serving food. You’ll be welcomed, guided, and looked after as if you were visiting friends.

On selected evenings, our tapas restaurant and garden terrace transform into a little corner of Andalusia, filled with the sounds of live Spanish music by Fran Cruz. Born in Seville, raised with rhythm in his blood, and quite possibly born with a guitar in his hands.
