The below general terms and conditions define the relationship between you and the Hotel Sonne Zermatt AG at a reservation made by internet, fax or letter.


The hotel room has to be used carefully by the host. In case of damage, the client will be totally responsible. The hotel assumes no liability for theft or bad services produced by any other company in connection with the Hotel Sonne. The hotel reserves the right to terminate the contract of sale under certain conditions before or during the stay

Cancellation fees

Please notify us as soon as possible for any changes in your reservation. In the case of a cancellation, the following cancellation charges usually apply:

until 30 days before arrival: free of charge

29-14 days before arrival: 50% of the booked arrangement

13 - 0 days before arrival: 100% of the booked arrangement

earlier departure during your stay: 100% of the booked arrangementWe recommend you to conclude a travel cancellation insurance.

The value added tax (VAT) is included in the price, which is not the case of the touristic tax.

Terms of payment

We reserve the right to require in advance the full or part payment of the reservation. For bookings made via online portals, the specific conditions of cancellation apply to each portal. Credit cards are verified electronically by us. If a credit card number is not valid, we consider the reservation as non-guaranteed.

Your credit card is equivalent to your signature. As soon as we have your credit card number and its expiry date, we reserve us the right to charge the total deposit amount form it on the date of the deposit due. The booking is definitive after that.

Lost property

The objects found in the hotel are sent back only on request. The costs are charged to the recipient.


Swiss law is applicable to any dispute between you and the Hotel Sonne Zermatt AG. The jurisdiction is in Zermatt. The German terms of use are valid in case of any conflict.
